Money Spinning Casino and Sports Bar Opens in Paddington with 150 jobs

With the opening of a money spinning Casino and Sports bar, more than 100 jobs have been created in Paddington.

Following a joint investment by Ladbrokes and two private backers, Alan Goodenough and David Seton, The 5 million UK Pounds development has been unveiled at the Paddintgon Hilton hotel.

The Grand Casino is expected to create 150 jobs in the entertainment and catering sector. It is Located in the heart of the Paddington Waterside Regeneration Area, officially opened last week. Community leaders and regeneration chiefs have warmly welcomed its arrival.

The Casino features a Las Vegas Style slot zone that will contain roulette wheels and one-armed Bandits, paying out up to 500 UK Pounds and a gaming floor which will have a range of casino games including blackjack, poker and punto banco. Also there will be a sports bar that will offer live coverage of major matches around the world.

To offer a varied menu of Asian and European cuisine, in addition, there will be an 80-seater restaurant complete with glass-fronted wine cellar.

"The Ladbrokes casino and sports bar is superbly located - in close proximity to the Heathrow Express - in a part of London that is undergoing significant redevelopment," said Ladbrokes chief executive Christopher Bell.

Bell also mentioned that this investment also ensures that Ladbrokes is operationally ready to bid for one or more of the new casino licenses under the 2005 Gambling Act.

According to Mr. Goodenough, one of the backers, they have delivered the casino on time and on budget and believed that they have created a casino that enables people to enjoy playing the tables in modern, stylish surroundings, as well as enjoying the latest live sporting action.

Upon production of photographic ID, membership at the casino is free.
